Emily Yacker, DVM, has always wanted to have a positive impact on others and do something for the greater good. She combined that approach to life with her love of animals and channeled them into becoming a veterinarian. She has a special interest in canine medicine, including dermatology, geriatric medicine and behavior.
Dr. Yacker believes that pets are the purest form of good, and that we humans can learn a lot about enjoying the simple things in life from them. Her goal for every visit is to thoroughly address the issues that brought the patient to her that day. She focuses on listening closely to the pet owners, and making sure she provides the highest quality treatment for their pets. She believes that the best doctor-patient relationships are based on communication and trust.
