West Loop Veterinary Care is excited to celebrate 15 years of providing the best possible care for pets in Chicago, IL. A Dream Realized
It all began with Dr. Gonsky's childhood dream of helping animals. This dream was nurtured through studies in Biology at Indiana University and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. These foundational years were not just about gaining knowledge; they were about laying the groundwork for what would become a lifelong mission to improve the lives of pets and their families.
The Foundation of Compassionate Care
In 2005, Dr. Gonsky founded Chicago Veterinary Housecalls. This practice, focusing on end-of-life care, highlighted the need for a full-service veterinary practice that could offer comprehensive care throughout a pet's life. It was this vision that led to the birth of West Loop Veterinary Care.
Our Humble Beginnings
April 27th, 2009, marked a significant milestone as West Loop Veterinary Care opened its doors to the community for the first time. Our goal was simple: to provide exceptional veterinary care with a personal touch.
A Journey of Growth and Recognition
Our journey has been one of continuous growth and improvement. In 2016, we doubled our practice space and expanded our team, following our recognition as a runner-up for Best Vet in Chicago in 2011.
Overcoming Challenges Together
The year 2020 presented unprecedented challenges for us all, both internally and externally, with the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a time of reflection and realignment for Dr. Gonsky and our leadership team. Despite these obstacles, we remained committed to our mission, supported by our incredible community.
Innovation and Expansion
Our commitment to innovation has never wavered. In 2021, despite the challenges of the previous year, we introduced state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and partnered with Suveto, ensuring that we continue to offer the cutting-edge care your pets deserve.
Looking to the Future
2023 marked an exciting new chapter with the opening of our newest location. This expansion is about the promise of our continued dedication to you and your pets.
