Celebrating Our AAHA Practice of the Year Nomination

We’re excited to share that West Loop Veterinary Care Streeterville has been nominated for AAHA Accredited Practice of the Year 2026.

We’re incredibly proud of the recognition, but what does it actually mean for you and your pet?

First, What Is AAHA?

AAHA stands for the American Animal Hospital Association.

Unlike human hospitals, veterinary practices are not required to be accredited. AAHA-accredited practices voluntarily meet rigorous standards designed around high-quality veterinary medicine and compassionate care.

In fact, fewer than 15% of veterinary practices in North America achieve AAHA accreditation.

What Is Accredited Practice of the Year?

AAHA’s Accredited Practice of the Year award recognizes outstanding achievements among accredited veterinary practice teams.

For us, being nominated is meaningful because it reflects something our team works toward every day: providing thoughtful, high-quality care while creating a place where pets and their people feel comfortable and cared for.
