Dr. Campos grew up in Sarasota, Florida. When she was six years old, a pigeon flew into their home and injured its wing. Dr. Campos nursed the bird back to good health. Once it could reliably fly, she released it back to the wild. From that time on, she knew she wanted to spend her life helping animals. She also developed a love for biology, making a career in veterinary medicine a natural choice that would allow her to follow her passions.

During patient visits, Dr. Campos works not only to help the pet feel better, but to also share her medical knowledge with the family. Her priority is the pet’s ongoing health and well-being. Dr. Campos is a Fear Free Certified Practitioner and believes that a smile and a positive attitude go a long way in making veterinary visits a positive experience for everyone.

Dr. Campos received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois and has a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Toxicology from the University of Florida, where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Campos is a Founding Member of the Latinx Veterinary Medical Association.

Although her Chihuahua dogs, Cody and Tucker, currently live with her mother in Florida, Dr. Campos hopes to add a new furry friend to her family soon. In her free time, Dr. Campos and her boyfriend enjoy trying out Chicago’s many coffee shops and pizza parlors.
