FUN STAFF FACTS

“When I walk Delphi, I get to amble through our neighborhood and see things I miss during a normal hectic day. I meet neighbors, make new friends, and notice the natural outdoors. This all helps me stay in-tune with the community and helps me ensure that West Loop Veterinary Care is continually the best it can be for pets and their parents.”

David Gonsky

David Gonsky, DVM, has cared for animals and nature for as long as he can remember. Growing up, his family was home for pets of almost every size, shape and color. His mother says that he was constantly bringing home animals. This gave him first-hand experience providing the best care for pets and led him to follow his passion and become a doctor of veterinary medicine.

As founder and chief veterinarian of West Loop Veterinary Care, Dr. Gonsky has nearly 20 years of veterinary medical care experience, here and at other top area animal hospitals. He has extensive experience in internal medicine, and also a deep interest in natural and alternative medicine and treatments.

Giving each pet the highest quality veterinary care is Dr. Gonsky’s daily goal. He values communication among the pet, the pet parents and the veterinarian to ensure all issues are addressed.

Dr. Gonsky is a recognized expert in the field and has served as a contributor to the Chicago Sun-Times and Pioneer Press newspapers. He has also been a guest on NBC Morning News Chicago, Fox News, WGN News, WGN radio and WBBM radio. When not focusing on providing top veterinary care and advice, Dr. Gonsky enjoys the outdoors and travel with his wife, two children and their family pets.
